How many times can you take the Montana real estate exam?

There is no maximum number of attempts for the Montana Real Estate Exam, which means you can take it as many times as you need in case you fail the first try. However, there is a factor to keep an eye on; there is a one-year period that the results of the test are good for, do not forget to submit your application once you passed the test. Also, the examination fee will have to be paid in full for each subsequent attempt.

How many questions are on the Montana Real Estate Test?

We have interviewed PSI and spoken to the Montana Board of Realty Regulation. We can confirm at this time there are 113 total points to be scored for salespersons on the real estate exam, those questions are divided into 80 national questions and 33 state-specific. For brokers, there are 75 national questions and 40 state-specific questions for a total of 115 questions.

Is the Montana Real Estate Exam hard?

Yes! It is very hard. As of 2024, only 55% of agents pass the licensing exam on the first try.

The good news is, the people passing the real estate exam are using a real estate exam test prep (like us!) and their pass rate goes to 93%.

how much is the Montana real estate exam?

The cost of the exam is $106 for salespersons whether you take the full exam or just the state portion. For brokers, the examination fee is the same, whether you take the State exam only or the National Exam only (or take both). Be aware that Diner’s Club and Discocer cards are not accepted to pay for this test.

Can You Take The Montana Real Estate Exam Online?

No. In Montana the option for an online proctored exam is not availabe and you will have to attened to a PSI test centers, you can find them in Billings, Helena, Kalispell and Missoula. Keep in mind to show up at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time for the test.

What Score Do I Need On The Montana Real Estate Exam To Pass?

The passing score for the Montana examination varies. Salespersons must score 56 out of 80 points on the national portion of the test and 23 out of 33 points on the state-specific questions. Brokers must get 60 out of 75 points in the national portion and 30 out of 40 points in the state-specific questions. At the end of the test, you will receive a score report showing a diagnostic report on each examination type.
