Is it really free?

Do I need an account?

No. Your answers and scores save in your browser on that device.

How many questions are on the real exam?

It depends on your state. Most give about 80 national questions plus 30 to 60 state questions; a few use one combined exam. Your state’s page has the exact format.

What score do I need to pass?

Usually 70% or 75%, often on each portion separately. Your state’s page lists its passing score.

Do you have practice exams for my state?

Yes. All 50 states have their own practice exam with questions on that state’s license law, plus national exams for the general portion.

Are these the actual exam questions?

No. They are practice questions written to match the topics and style of the real exam, which testing companies keep confidential.

How should I study?

Take a full practice exam, read every explanation for questions you miss, retake only those, and repeat until you score well above the passing mark.

Who checks the questions?
