How to Study For The Texas Real Estate Exam

How many times can you take the Texas real estate exam?
Students get 3 chances to take their real estate license test in Texas. But remember, after three failed attempts, you must take an additional 30 classroom hours of qualifying real estate education before re-examination.
How many questions are on the Texas Real Estate Test?
We have interviewed Pearson Vue and spoken to the Texas Real Estate Commission. We can confirm at this time there are 125 total questions on the real estate exam. On the national portion of the exam there are 85 questions and the remaining are Texas specific.
Is the Texas Real Estate Exam hard?
Yes! It is very hard. As of 2024, only 65% of agents pass the licensing exam on the first try.
The good news is, the people passing the real estate exam are using a real estate exam test prep (like us!) and their pass rate goes to 92%.
How much is the Texas real estate exam?
The fee of $43 for a Sales examination or of $39 for a Brokers examination must be paid at the time of reservation by credit card, debit card, or voucher. Payment will not be accepted at the test center. Examination fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Often, if you fail the exam, the fees are a little cheaper for the next one.(but don’t fail, work with us)
Can You Take The Texas Real Estate Exam Online?
No. In Texas, they do not allow online testing for the real estate licensing exam.
There is no final grade given when you complete the test, it will simply tell you if you have passed or if you have failed.

What Score Do I Need On The Texas Real Estate Exam To Pass?
For salespersons, you need to answer 56 questions correctly on the National examination and 21 questions correctly on the State examination in order to pass the examination. For brokers, you need to answer 60 questions correctly on the National examination and 38 questions correctly on the State examination in order to pass the examination.
