(Hopefully) We can assume that you do understand the best way to pass any test is to fully understand the material. After all, getting your Ohio real estate license is one of the most important accomplishments of your life. So, how do we do that?
- Take real estate practice exams over the course of 1-3 months depending on your knowledge level.
- Watch YouTube videos of real estate exam prep teachers. They are awesome and they are free! We have quite a few but there are other great teachers as well.
- Memorize all the real estate vocabulary. This should be common sense, but make flashcards and just go over them until you know them all.

How many times can you take the Ohio real estate exam?
How Many Times Can You Take the Ohio Real Estate Exam? In the great state of Ohio, you must pass both sections of the exam within a 1 year period. You can retake the exam as many times as necessary.
How many questions are on the Ohio Real Estate Test?
We have interviewed PSI and spoken to the Ohio Real Estate Commission. We can confirm at this time there are 120 total questions on the real estate exam. On the national portion of the exam there are 80 questions and the remaining are Ohio specific. A passing score is 70%.
Is the Ohio Real Estate Exam hard?
Yes! It is very hard. As of 2023, only 71% of agents pass the licensing exam on the first try.
The good news is, the people passing the real estate exam are using a real estate exam test prep (like us!) and their pass rate goes to 95%.
how much is the Ohio real estate exam?
If this is your first time taking the exam, you will need to take both portions (State & National). The fee for both sections of the exam is $97. If you only need to take one portion of the exam, it will be much less. Please note, you can not pay at the testing center.
Can You Take The Ohio Real Estate Exam Online?
Yes. In Ohio, they allow online testing for the real estate licensing exam.
There is no final grade given when you complete the test, it will simply tell you if you have passed or if you have failed.
We do not recommend taking it online as many of our students told us they failed the exam because of where their eyes were looking. They are very paranoid about cheating on the online exams.

What Score Do I Need On The Ohio Real Estate Exam To Pass?
A passing score for the Ohio Real Estate Exam is 70% correct.
Your score will be displayed on screen at the end of the examination and a score report will be emailed to you. If you fail, the emailed score report will include the diagnostic report indicating your strengths and weaknesses by examination type. If you do not receive your emailed score report, you may print it from your online account.
Candidates taking a remotely proctored exam: you must select to end both the exam portion and survey portion of your test in order to receive your on-screen results and emailed score report.
