How many times can you take the Minnesota real estate exam?
There is no maximum number of attempts for the Minnesota Real Estate Exam, which means you can take it as many times as you can in case you fail the first try. If you don’t pass one of the portions of the exam, you will only have to retake the one you failed. However, there is a factor to keep an eye on; there is a one-year period that the results of the test are good for, do not forget to submit your application once you passed the test. Also, the examination fee will have to be paid in full for each subsequent attempt.
How many questions are on the Minnesota Real Estate Test?
We have interviewed Pearson Vue and spoken to the Minnesota Department of Commerce. We can confirm at this time there are 130 total questions to be answered for the real estate exam, those questions are divided into 80 national questions and 50 state-specific.
Is the Minnesota Real Estate Exam hard?
Yes! It is very hard. As of 2024, only 52% of agents pass the licensing exam on the first try.
The good news is, the people passing the real estate exam are using a real estate exam test prep (like us!) and their pass rate goes to 93%.
how much is the Minnesota real estate exam?
The cost of each portion of the exam is $39, however, if you are taking both national and state portions of the exam there is a combo fee of $63 for both salespersons and brokers, which means the examination fees are the same. Be aware that payments will not be accepted at the test center as they are made at the moment of the reservation and the combo fee is not available for online testing.
Can You Take The Minnesota Real Estate Exam Online?
Yes. In Minnesota, you have the option to take an online proctored test by selecting that option when scheduling the exam. Keep in mind to run the compatibility check with your device at least 24 hours prior to the examination and not make any changes or updates until the test is taken. You will need a private and quiet space and you will be monitored during the test.

What Score Do I Need On The Minnesota Real Estate Exam To Pass?
The passing score for the Minnesota examination is 75 in a scale from 0 to 100 for both salespersons and brokers. However, that score is not determined by the number of questions answered correctly but by the overall difficulty of the test, as different questions appear on each exam. At the end of the test you will receive a score report. If you fail the exam, this report will show a numeric score and diagnostic report along with information on how to reexaminate.
